為了保育及活化被評定為香港特別行政區三級歷史建築物的中環街市，金源米業與藝術和創意大師朱祖兒先生及張世宏先生合力打造一個令人難忘的金源米行，展示我們共同寫下的歷史。

米飯除了是香港人的主要食糧外，更是香港人文化的一部份，金源米業集團扎根香港超過70年，一直為香港人提供最廣泛高品質的大米品種作為使命。50至60年代的米行就是金源米業集團與香港人發展根深蒂固感情的起步點，我們很榮幸藉此機會將50至60年代的香港米行，在這個富有歷史意義的中環街市再次原汁原味展示在香港人眼前，好讓香港人可以再次感受到當時的文化, 並希望可以延續這份香港情懷及人情味。

此外，我們現正與香港特別行政區漁農自然護理署合作，介紹目前本地的稻米品種復育計劃，並為大眾帶來保育本土稻米品種知識。

To support the objective of the revitalization of Central Market, to patronize the heritage of vibrant and dynamic HKSAR, to turn the landmark for all walks of life to experience art and culture. We partnered with art and creative gurus Mr Joel Chu and Mr Silver Cheung to create a memorable place to show the history that together we wrote.

Hong Kong people has a strong bonding with rice, a staple food, for decades. GRD has the longest history and is providing the widest rice variety for our HK peers. We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring back vividly the precious moments of rice culture in 1950 – 60's of HK, by showcasing an array of historic and antique items in the preserved stalls, to let audience experience breathtakingly the beauty of authenticity, to nurture the public of the meaning and purpose of heritage conservation.

In addition, partnering with Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department of HKSAR, to introduce the current rice variety revitalization project and to bring up the knowledge of local species of rice varieties which was cultivating in HK.
